I want to tell you how thrilled I am to have discovered Punk Rope. I am a notorious anti-exerciser and am shocked to be having so much fun and sweating at the same time!
I took my first Punk Rope class and LOVED it! What an awesome sense of community. Halfway through the class I was high-fiving a member I had never met before.
I had never exercised regularly, because I found it daunting and not enjoyable. Punk Rope changed that for me. I had so much fun and the people were really friendly.
I didn’t expect to love it, but I do. There’s none of the boredom that comes with the endless reps of most workouts. Unlike other boot camps where the instructors scream at you drill sergeant style (believe me, that would not go over well with this broad), Tim pushes you beyond what you think you’re able to do with simple encouragement. Telling someone they’re doing great is more effective than telling them they suck.
Beastanetics is awesome. I enjoy it and have seen good results from doing it. Tim Haft, the dude in charge, has designed a really great program. Basically, you work your ass off for a short period of time…and I mean really work. No joke. This is more effective than “moderate” exercising over a long period. You WILL see results. You will also find it surprisingly enjoyable. Tim is a cool guy and a great motivator.
Tim is supportive and inspiring and definitely knows his stuff. The attitude is low-key but the workout is not: you won’t believe how long 20 seconds feels (or how SHORT when it’s the recovery 20 seconds), but the results are worth the effort. Recommended for anyone from couch potato to elite athlete. You can push yourself as hard as you want to or hold back if you’re dying. The group atmosphere is great too, supportive and fun.
I attended a Punk Rope Workshop based on my interest in jumping rope. I was not prepared for, but delighted to have learned as much as I did. The remarkable benefit of the class is its format, which allows for participation by students of a wide range of abilities. Punk Rope continues to be the class I am most excited to teach.
I had a great time at the workshop and was so excited about the class that I brought my rope to the gym the next day. Aside from the fitness component of Punk Rope, which I love, I am so impressed with your stress on building community and play. Neither is emphasized enough in today’s world so kudos to you for combining them!
The Punk Rope Workshop was truly amazing. I haven’t had that much fun working out in a while.
This is what I needed to take my own fitness to the next level.
Thank you for giving me the inspiration I needed both professionally and personally!
Punk Rope for Kids brings a refreshing and revolutionary take on jumping rope, making it an exciting and cost effective way to get in shape. Punk Rope worked with our program in New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania training staff, writing curricula, and leading workshops to help bring physical fitness back into our classrooms.
Punk Rope ignited our 500+ elementary school children through their energetic and engaging approach. They helped every child acquire the skills necessary to perform basic rope jumping and the desire to achieve higher levels of proficiency. They also put the children at ease so they could comfortably exhibit their new skills.
I’ve been offering Punk Rope for Kids as a before-school activity for 3 years. The children love the variety. We work up quite a sweat to start our day. Punk Rope for Kids provides a complete and balanced approach to fitness and it doesn’t feel like exercise; it just feels like fun. It’s a great way to motivate children to be active.
