Punk Rope is a fun, but challenging workout, which makes everybody feel like a kid. If you have exercise ADD, Punk Rope is the perfect choice as the combination of rope jumping, creative calisthenics, partner drills, fitness games, and relay races will be sure to grab your attention.
But Punk Rope is not just child’s play. Some movements are very challenging, and, on average, students burn over 600 calories per class. Punk Rope improves stamina, strength, power, agility, coordination, balance, rhythm, and timing. Just about anybody can do Punk Rope because it’s self-paced and your instructor will be happy to offer alternatives for movements that you’ve decided are a “no.”
Punk Rope is about more than just improving your fitness. It’s about the power of play, music, and community. Play reduces stress, stimulates the brain, and fosters connection. Music touches the soul and inspires movement, creativity, thought, and action. Community binds us together and gives life meaning.
Punk Rope can take place almost anywhere. Classes have been held at community centers, bowling alleys, bars, parks, art galleries, and even the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
Punk Rope classes are themed and celebrate everything from the Super Bowl to St. Patrick’s Day to Super Heroes and everything in between.
Punk Rope does its best to make Earth a better place. We’ve teamed up with DOVE, ARQ, the American Heart Association, the American Cancer Society, City Harvest, The Food Bank, The After School Corporation, the New York City Department of Education, The US Department of Health and Human Services, and many other organizations to promote health and fitness.
